Linda Eide is one of the most popular and richest Norwegian television presenter who was born on February 10, 1969 in Voss, Norway. Linda Eide was born 10 February 1969. She is a Norwegian radio and television presenter, producer, comedian, actor, and chat-show host.

She created the performance 200 Years in 2 Hours with comedian and pianist Sjur Hjeltnes in 2014. This was a presentation about Norway’s history. Later, this performance was shown on NRK1 television with the title Historical fun. A shorter version of the performance was performed by the duo in different theatres across the country.

In 2017 came Eides språksjov (Eide’s language show) to the Norwegian television channel, NRK 1. This is an educational chat-show which researches and celebrates language use in daily life. Together with the show’s own professor, pianist and special guests they dissect and analyse the use of language. In November 2019, the show was moved to the prime viewing time on Saturday night. The team comprises Linda Eide, professor Gunnstein Akselberg and pianist Sjur Hjeltnes.

Eide has written numerous books, with her book Oppdrag Mottro (Mission Mother) winnning the Melsom Prize for its wide readership and distribution. The book is based on a series of telephone interviews with her mother. Linda gathered stories of her mother’s life spanning the 50s, 60s and 70s. In Autumn 2018, she presented her own performance and dramatization of the book in Det Vestenorske Teater in Bergen. The performance also showed in many theatres around Norway in the autumn of 2019 with more showings planned in 2020.

She has been working with Akselberg, Hjeltnes and others on a monthly language program Ut med spraket in Bergen since 2013. She also gives lectures at NRK, the university and Media center in Bergen on the topic of narrative for radio or television. In the lecture MEIRFIKSJON, she shares her ideas about engaging narrative presentations. This lecture was presented for the first time at Nordic Media Days 2015
