Yermoshina was conceived in Slutsk (Minsk Voblast) on 29 January 1953. She graduated from the Faculty of Law of the Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University in 1975. She began her career as a legal adviser in 1975 and became an assistant attorney in 1987. In 1988, she was elected Chairwoman of the Judiciary of the City Executive Committee of Babruysk. She held that position until 1996.

This compelled her neutrality and she was being investigated for rigging the last election. These complaints were ineffective.

Since 1992, she has been a member of Belarus’ Central Election Commission and chairwoman of that organization. After the 2006 presidential election in Belarus, on April 10, 2006, she was placed on a 40-member list that was banned from entering the European Union or the United States. She was accused of participating in the manipulations of the election results. The ban was lifted in 2008.
