Liao Hui is one of the most popular and richest Weightlifter who was born on October 5, 1987 in Xiantao, Hubei, China. Liao Hui is a former Chinese weightlifter, Olympic champion, and three-time world champion.

China’s Liao competed in the 69kg class of the 2013 World Weightlifting Championships. He won the gold medal with the highest clean, jerk, total, and snatch. At the 2014 World Weightlifting Championships, Almaty in Kazakhstan, Liao set new records for the total (total (359 kg/791 lb), and snatch (366 kg (366 lb).

Liao won gold in the 69kg class at the 2009 World Weightlifting Championships. She weighed 346 kg.

In 2007, Liao was made a member the Chinese national weightlifting team. After setting two junior world records in 2007, Liao was selected to be a candidate for China’s national weightlifting team at the 2008 Olympics. He had previously been a backup athlete for the 2012 Summer Olympics. Zhang Guozheng was the 2004 Summer Olympics gold medalist in 69 kg. He was replaced by Liao. Liao lifted 158 kg in snatch and 194 kg in clean and jerk to win the Olympic gold medal in 69 kg at the 2008 Olympics. This made a total weight of 348 kilograms.

He broke two junior world records at the Chinese City Games in 2007 and won gold for the 69kg class. He won the gold medal in 69kg class at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing with a total weight of 348 kg. He won the World Weightlifting Championships in 2009 and 2013. He also won the 2010 World Weightlifting Championships before being retroactively disqualified for performance-enhancing drug use the following year.

At the 2010 World Weightlifting Championships, Liao placed first and broke the world records for both the clean and jerk and the total in the 69 kg class by lifting 198 kg and 358 kg, respectively. However, in November 2011, the International Weightlifting Federation announced that Liao had tested positive for the banned substances boldenone and androstatrienedione. As a result, the IWF subsequently disqualified Liao from the 2010 WWC, revoking his gold medals and invalidating his record-breaking lifts. Liao was initially banned from competition until September 30, 2014 but his ban was reduced to September, 2012 because it was a first time offense.
