Leticia Romero González (born 28 May 1995 in Aguimes) is a Spanish basketball star who plays for Valencia Basket as well as the Spanish national team. Before moving to the United States, she spent three years playing in the Spanish top-tier basketball league. She was a member of the Dallas Wings’ WNBA team for the 2018 season.

Despite missing 13 games in 2014-15, she was second in assists. She also averaged 10.1 points and 5.3 rebounds during the regular season. She was named to the all Atlantic Coast Conference second team.

Shortly after Romero received a release, she received a call from Sue Semrau, head coach at Florida State, one of the schools she had visited during her original recruitment. The two quickly reconnected, and as Romero considered her options, she found herself drawn to the Seminoles’ style of play and willing to meet the expectations Semrau was setting for the program. She then enrolled at FSU, initially planning to sit out the 2014–15 season due to NCAA transfer regulations.

After four successful formative years in the NCAA and graduating from Florida State University, Romero signed for Czech club ZVVZ USK Praha for the 2017-18 season, winning the 2018 Czech League.

Romero, who hails from the Canary Islands and was highly sought-after by major U.S. colleges going into the 2013-14 season. She ultimately chose to play for Kansas State because of her relationship with the coaching staff. She was not fluent in English at the time and was looking for a safe and secure environment. Although the Wildcats finished only 11-19 in her first season, she had a lot of success. She averaged 14.2 points and 5.8 rebounds per game, while also being named unanimously on the Big 12 Conference all-freshman teams and earning second-team All-Big 12 honors.

During that time, the NCAA granted the petition, allowing her to immediately play for the Seminoles.
