Hudson, a native of Memphis, Tennessee, was a Southwest Tennessee Community College transferee. He is the first UT Martin player ever to be awarded the OVC Player-of-the Year award. In 2008-09, he was honored again. This is the first time that he has been recognized in consecutive seasons since Marcus Brown of Murray State University won the 1995-1996 and 1994-1995 seasons. He was also named to OVC All-Newcomer Squad, becoming the fourth Skyhawk to be named to the All-OVC First-Team (2007-2008, 2008-2009) and was named UT Martin’s Bob Carroll Male Athlete.
He played for the Washington Wizards during the NBA’s 2010 summer league.
Hudson was waived on July 1, 2010 by the Grizzlies.

Lester Hudson III, born August 7, 1984, is an American professional basketball player who plays for the Liaoning Flying Leopards (CBA). Hudson was the first quadruple-double in NCAA Division I male basketball history during the 2007-08 season. He declared for the 2008 NBA Draft at the end of the season but withdrew later. Hudson was the 58th pick in the 2009 NBA draft by the Boston Celtics, but was later waived. The Memphis Grizzlies signed him. Hudson played later for the Washington Wizards, Cleveland Cavaliers, and returned to the Grizzlies on April 2012.
Hudson was able to make NCAA, conference, and school history. He also became the first Division I male player to record a quadruple double (25 points, 12 rebound, 10 assists, and 10 steals against Central Baptist College on November 13, 2007). Ann Meyers’ 1978 quadruple double for UCLA is included. Five women have had quadruple doubles in NCAA Division I women’s play since February 2, 2018.
