Prior to assuming the office, Webber served as vice director and president of Webber Academy which is a private school that is non-profit in the southwest region of Calgary for students in kindergarten through grade 12 . It was established by his father.

Webber quit his seat in Parliament on September 29th, 2014, a day after he won his federal Conservative Party of Canada nomination for the newly-created urban district within the Calgary Confederation. Webber was elected the member of the legislature in Calgary Confederation in the 2015 federal election.

In the provincial election of 2008, Webber was reelected as MLA for Calgary- Foothills by a majority of 48% of votes. Webber is a member on the board of directors of Calgary Stampede, the Calgary Stampede, the Calgary Homeless Foundation and WorldSkills Calgary 2009. Webber was elected again in 2012 and in March 2014, he resigned from his position in the Progressive Conservative caucus to sit as an independent to protest against the direction by Alison Redford.

Leonard Warren “Len” Webber MP (born 10 November 1960) is a Canadian politician who has been the Member of the Parliamentary riding in the Calgary Confederation since 2015 as a member of the Conservative Party of Canada. In the past, he served as a member of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta, serving the Calgary-Foothills region from 2004 until 2014. He was initially as an Progressive Conservative and in his last six months of office in 2014, he was an independent.

Len Webber first sought public office during the provincial election, in the constituency of Calgary-Foothills. In the 2004 election, he was able to get five-sevenths of the votes. In addition to his duties as an MLA in his first tenure, Webber held the position of Deputy Whip and was chairman of the Advisory Committee on Climate Change and which was the MLA Review Committee of Private Investigators and Security Guards Act and the Healthy Aging and Continuing Care in Alberta Committee as well as the MLA Task Force on Affordable Housing and Homelessness in Alberta. Webber was also Co-chair for the MLA Task Force on Continuing Care Health Service and the Accommodation Standards Committee and served as a member of a variety of other boards and committees.
