Leilani Seamah Mitchell (born on June 15, 1985) is an Australian- American professional basketball player with the Washington Mystics of the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA). Mitchell was selected as the 25th overall player in the Phoenix Mercury in the 2008 WNBA Draft. As a dual citizen of both the United States and Australia, she is a part of the Australian female national team for basketball (the Opals). In the year 2019 Mitchell was the very first WNBA player to be awarded the Most Improved Player Award twice.
