Lee Seung-yuop (born on 18th August 1976) is a former baseball player who played the majority of his playing time playing for the Samsung Lions of the KBO League. At the age 26, He made history as the youngest pro baseball athlete to have hit 300 homers. He was previously the holder of the Asian record for home runs, which was 56 homers over a season that was established in 2003 when he was being a player with the Samsung Lions in the Korean league. It was cracked by Wladimir Balentien, of the Tokyo Yakult Swallows, on September 15th of 2013 when he scored both his 56th and the 57th home runs of the season in a game against the Hanshin Tigers of the Nippon Professional Baseball League. He is the holder of the KBO records for home runs as well as runs recorded, RBIs, total bases as well as slugging percentage, OPS and total bases. In total with both the KBO as well as the NPB, Lee has also had more hits as a native Korean player.

Lee began his professional career as a player for his club, the Samsung Lions of the KBO League in 1995.
