Lee Mair (born 9 December 1980) is a Scottish former footballer who was the central defensive player. Mair was a player with Dundee United, Aberdeen, St Mirren, Partick Thistle, Dumbarton and Stranraer, and also had an appearance playing in the English League 1 with Stockport County.
Mair joined Dumbarton in July 2014 when he joined Dumbarton. The club scored its first goals in the 3-1 victory against Cowdenbeath on December 14, 2014. After revealing that he wouldn’t be playing for the club in the future because of a contract dispute and he resigned from Dumbarton in May of 2015. Mair later joined Scottish League One side Stranraer as assistant manager to the player. Mair retired at the conclusion of the 2015-16 campaign after being dismissed from Stranraer.
In the 2007-08 season Mair was released from Dundee United and joined Aberdeen. On June 9, 2009 Mair joined St Mirren from Aberdeen with a three- year deal. Mair played more than 100 matches in the first season for St Mirren before extending his contract by two years in March of 2012.

Mair started his career as a junior player for Dundee. In order to gain experience with the first team He was loaned for East Fife in February 2001 and made his debut as a senior player with them in the match against Peterhead. He stayed at East Fife until the end of the season, making 13 first-team appearances as a starter and scoring two times. In 2001, the season that followed saw Mair transferred to Falkirk which was where he became a regular for the first team with 25 starts and an appearance in the substitutes’ box, before going back to Dundee. Mair played the Dundee debut in the match against Hearts in the opening game of the season following and continued to play 34 times, as well as his final match of the season in 2003. Scottish Cup Final appearance against Rangers. In his first season as a first team player, Mair missed only two games in the 2003-04 season. This brought the total number of appearances for Dundee at 79. The club resigned him at the close of that campaign to move to Stockport County where he made 17 appearances.
After six months in Stockport, Mair joined Dundee United in January 2005. Dundee director Jim Duffy believed Mair had already made a decision to returning to Dundee United, describing Mair’s actions “personal betrayal”. After seven appearances with the club he joined, Mair sustained a knee injury in a training session which kept him out of the team for the remainder of the campaign. After recovering and returning to training, he played his first game of the 2006-07 season against Falkirk with the first Dundee United goal in the 1-1 win against Rangers in November. This was Craig Levein’s debut game as manager.
Mair signed for Scottish Premiership club Partick Thistle in January 2014 on an initial six-month contract, after terminating his contract with St Mirren. He made his debut for the club during a 1–1 draw with Kilmarnock, on 18 January 2014. He scored his first goal for Partick at Firhill on 15 March 2014 vs Hibernian, with a header coming from a Kallum Higginbotham free kick. His contract was not extended beyond the end of season 2013–14.
