Jones decided to perform on tours along with Johnny Winter and Walter Trout. The year 2012 saw Jones was signed to a record deal to Promise Records and they released his debut album, Thunder in the Sky. The same year, Jones became ill with the Crohn’s Disease. The majority song included on Thunder in the Sky were composed by Jones with the exception of his version to “The Thrill Is Gone”. Jones toured in support of the album and eventually played in support of The Royal Southern Brotherhood, Wishbone Ash as well as another of his idols from his youth, Tony McPhee of The Groundhogs.

Take Me High (2016) was written by Mike Vernon. The album’s launch was on the Townsend Hall in Shipston-on-Stour, it was preceded by a tour through the UK and performances at Nidaros Blues Festival in Trondheim, Norway. In 2017 Jones played with Vintage Trouble in their UK tour as well as later in the year, she toured together with Kenny Wayne Shepherd in the UK as well as across the continent of Europe.
