Lauren Tesoriero is one of the most popular and richest Australian Rules Footballer who was born on September 10, 1986 in Melbourne, Australia. Lauren Tesoriero (born 10 September 1986) is an ex-retired Australian rules player, who played with Richmond Football Club in the AFL Women’s competition (AFLW). She played in 11 games in a period of two years in the club of Collingwood.
Following her removal from the team, Tesoriero joined Richmond for the 2018 season of the VFL Women’s League and began working as a female recruiter and scouting the team. In October of 2018, she was hired by Richmond as a full- time AFLW recruiter. She also accepted the role of playing coaching assistant for 2019’s VFLW season. She was injured by an ACL rupture in her left knee playing with NT Thunder in June 2019 however she decided against surgery to go with a quicker non-surgical recovery she previously but was able to successfully complete while playing in the state league football team in 2012.
Collingwood re-signed Tesoriero for the 2018 season during the trade period in May 2017.
Tesoriero was drafted by Richmond with the club’s final selection and 96th pick overall in the 2019 AFL Women’s draft. She made her Richmond debut against Carlton at Ikon Park in the opening round of the 2020 season. She announced her retirement on 25th March 2020.
Tesoriero was picked by Collingwood at pick 107 and she declared it to be the “second wind”, after contemplating the possibility of retiring. Her debut came in round one of 2017 in the first AFLW match played at Ikon Park against Carlton.

In 2005 at the age of 18 Tesoriero began playing senior football with Yarra Valley Cougars. In the following year, she was chosen to play for on the Victorian State Football team. She was also part of the Australia women’s international rules football team, which competed against Ireland in the Ladies International Rules series.
She later was a member of the VFLW club Eastern Devils. In 2012, she was injured with an ACL tear in practicing with the Devils however she continued to play with the injured knee throughout the year without having surgery. rather, resting on the injured knee for 3 months prior to returning. She then waited another six months prior to having surgery to completely fix the injury. In 2016, she scored an average of goals every game played for her club.
In June 2018, Tesoriero was delisted by Collingwood.
