Nourse was selected for the Australian open squad in July 2007 to replace injured defence player Mo’onia Gerrard. The debut came with New Zealand on 21 July 2007, and impressed the crowd. The performance was sufficient to ensure her inclusion as a member of the Australian team for the 2007 World Championships, which Australia had a great time reclaiming in November.
Nourse currently plays for The Queensland Firebirds in the ANZ Championship which was replaced by the Commonwealth Bank Trophy after 2007.

The dynamic wing-attacker first came to fame in 2003 after she was a debutant as a player in the Australian National Netball League for the AIS Canberra Darters. Her talent grew under the guidance of coach Norma Plummer, and the young talent was included as part of the Australian open team for the 2004 season.
After departing from the AIS, Nourse went on to join the struggling Queensland Firebirds, where she did not reach the heights she did earlier in the season. The Firebirds were cellar dwellers in competition between 2004 and 2005. They were a disappointment until their former Australian legend Vicki Wilson became the coach of the team in 2006 and changed their fortunes dramatically, taking their team to make the semi-finals for the very first time. It also turned Nourse’s life around when she was picked again to the Australian team at the close of the year.
