She holds a master’s diploma and a certificate in legal studies from Tunis’s Faculty of Law in Tunis.
Habachi was appointed to the Assembly of the Representatives of the People in 2014, and was one of 42 women who were elected to the Assembly. in 2014, Habachi as well as Sana Mersni suggested amending the Constitution that would empower the government to select judges. The amendment was fiercely rejected by Popular Front and Democratic Bloc opposition members, and resulted in the Tunisian Judges’ Syndicate to call for strikes, but was subsequently accepted in a 109-vote majority. Habachi is the vice-chairman of the Committee on General Legislation.
Habachi began her membership in the Islamist movement during her time at university. In 2011 she was elected an official participant in the Constituent Assembly of Tunisia to represent the Ennahda Movement for the constituency of Manouba. She was a part of the drafting process for an amendment to the 2014 Constitution.

Habachi started her career as a lawyer in the year 1995. The Vice President is a member of the Tunisian Association of Young Lawyers and has participated in trial in Tunisia. She was part of a protest of lawyers following the self- immolation in the name of Mohamed Bouazizi. On December 31, the year 2010, she was kidnapped by militia during a court appearance.
In 2016, Habachi participated in an international coalition of women called “The Women’s Boat for Gaza”, seeking an end to the blockade of the Gaza Strip.
