The group originally had wanted to be called “The Dirty Dozen,” because they had hoped to do a western song, and all be outlaws in it. The name, however, was already being used by a jazz group, so they shortened it to D-12. Aside from Eminem (Marshall Bruce Mathers III), the other members of the group are Peter S.
