The gymnast who was the 2018 European all-around bronze medallist. She participated in Rio 2016 Summer Olympics at Rio and placed sixth in the final of all around.
The 9-11th of September Halkina along with fellow teammates Hanna Bazhko and junior Alina Harnasko were part of the team Dinamo during the Aeon Cup in Tokyo, which they won the silver medal for the team and Halkina placed 4th overall.
On June 17–19, Halkina competed at the 2016 European Championships where she finished in 11th place with a total of 71.156 points. On July 1–3, Halkina competed at the 2016 Berlin World Cup winning the All-around bronze with a total of 73.150 (tied with Salome Pazhava), Halkina qualified to all apparatus finals winning bronze in hoop and clubs, 4th in ball and 8th in ribbon. On July 8–10, Halkina then finished 6th in the all-around at the 2016 Kazan World Cup with a total of 72.700 points, she finished 4th in hoop, 5th in ball, 6th in clubs and 7th in ribbon finals.
On September 9–13, Halkina (together with teammates Melitina Staniouta, Hanna Bazhko and Arina Charopa) competed at the 2015 World Championships in Stuttgart, with Team Belarus winning the silver. Halkina qualified to 1 apparatus final finishing 8th in ball. and in the all-around finals; she finished in 13th place behind Kseniya Moustafaeva of France.
Between July 20 and 22 Halkina took part in the quadrennial competition, the 2017 World Games held in Wroclaw, Poland. She finished 5th in the hoop, and 4th in clubs and was awarded bronze in the ribbon and ball championships. From August 4 to 6 Halkina took part in the 2017 Minsk World Challenge Cup winning an all-around bronze alongside her teammate Alina Harnasko. She was able to compete for all four apparatus finals and won gold in ball and bronze in the hoop. She also was 4th in clubs and sixth in ribbon. Between August 11 and 13 Halkina participated in the 2017 Kazan World Challenge Cup and was awarded Bronze in the All-around competition behind Arina Averina. She was able to compete for all apparatus finals, and took home the silver medal in ball. She placed 4th in clubs, hoop and ribbon.

- She won numerous medals during her junior career during the 2010 Pesaro Junior World Cup in which she took home gold in the ball, hoop, and silver in the Team Event. In the event of 2010 Junior Grand Prix she won the all-around bronze medal. She also won gold in the Hoop in the 2012 Pesaro Junior World Cup. In the 2012 European Junior Championships she and Team Belarus were awarded silver medals. Team silver medal. She took silver in ribbon and the ball final. Halkina was then awarded the overall gold medal at the age group junior of the 2012 Aeon Cup in Japan.
Halkina underwent heart surgery in the year 2011 and missed 12 months of the competition.
