Craft had initially planned to write a book about their lives, yet she always returned to her husband’s confrontation in the face of the law enforcement. The incident had transformed her, and she knew that her life was never going to be the same again. In the year 2000 Craft began writing novels and the first was the topic of eating disorders within the dancers of women. This process took eight years to complete and the final product was named “The Art of Falling”. The main character in the novel, Penny, is pushed to the brink of despair. This helped Craft to forgive her husband in a way. It also helped turn the events that took place in 1997 into a healing journey for Craft.

After graduating from college, Craft worked as a choreographer, dancer, and instructor from 1978until 1992. She was also an independent reviewer for dance in The Morning Call in Allentown, Pennsylvania until 2002. She also had a business that developed marketing materials for small-sized businesses as well as non-profit groups, known as Themes & Variations.
Craft also served in the various leadership capacities for the Women’s Fiction Writer’s Association, the Philadelphia Writer’s Conference, and the Greater Lehigh Valley Writers Group.
