Kathleen Cody is one of the most popular and richest Actor who was born on October 30, 1954 in The Bronx, United States. Following the completion in The Crucible, Cody was selected to appear in the PBS special that featured the playwright and novelist Colette’s 1922 production, My Mother’s House (originally called La Maison de Claudine) which starred Dewhurst. It was written to pay tribute to her mother, Adele Eugenie Sidonie “Sido” Colette. The play unfolds around Colette as she recalls her childhood and the relationships with her mom. Cody played the role of playwright, Colette through adolescence into her teenage period. It was in 1968 that the program got nominated three times for Emmy Awards.
The year was 1965. Cody made her debut on daytime TV by appearing in regular long running roles in the CBS soap operas of the daytime, The Edge of Night as Laurie Ann Karr, As the World Turns as Sally Graham, and The Secret Storm as Cecilia after which she became a regular character on The Secret Storm, an ABC gothic soap, Dark Shadows. Cody also appeared in the debut season of the Peter Falk TV Series, The Trials of O’Brien, with the title “Over Defense Is Out”. She also appeared in The Jackie Gleason Show, Perry Como Show, Jan Murray Show as well as The Bell Telephone Hour Christmas Special together with Florence Henderson.
In 1972, Cody relocated to Los Angeles. She co-starred in three television Movies of the Week. She first appeared in a remake of the 1945 film Double Indemnity, which originally starred Fred MacMurray and Barbara Stanwyck. Cody portrayed the character Lola Dietrickson, while in 1945, the role was played by Jean Heather. The 1972 adaptation starred Richard Crenna, Lee J. Cobb, and Samantha Eggar.
Cody completed her three-picture deal with Disney, appearing in the film Superdad, again directed by Vincent McEveety. She starred in the film along with Bob Crane and Barbara Rush, as her parents. The film also starred Kurt Russell, portraying Cody’s love interest for the second time, and Bruno Kirby and Ed Begley, Jr.. The film was released on December 14, 1973.
In 1963 at the age of nine years old, Cody was selected as one of the initial actors in the Broadway show Here’s Love, appearing in the role of Hendrika. The musical is written by Meredith Willson, who earlier had written The Music Man and The Unsinkable Molly Brown. Here’s Love was an adaptation of the film Miracle on 34th Street and was first shown in the Sam S. Shubert Theatre located on Broadway located in NYC. Cody’s co-stars included Janis Paige Craig Stevens, Laurence Naismith, Fred Gwynne, and Dom DeLuise. In the production, Cody had a duet on the song “The Bugle”, with Naismith as the part as Kris Kringle. Cody was a part of the production for the duration of the show and last appeared on June 25, 1964 at which point the production was closed after 334 shows and 2 previews.

Written by Joanna Lee, the film was an adaptation of Didrikson’s autobiography, entitled, This Life I’ve Led. Directed by Buzz Kulik, the film starred Susan Clark in the title role, for which she won an Emmy for her performance.
