In December of 1982 Karlheinz Stockhausen was invited to the Royal Conservatory for a series of master classes, concerts and lectures, during the time Pasveer collaborated together with the composer as well as Suzanne Stephens on his compositions Zeitmasse, Amour, and In Freundschaft. Stockhausen asked her to collaborate together on a brand new piece that he composed with six musicians and flute that was composed between March and February 1983, and it was premiered on the Donaueschinger Musiktage in October 1983. It required about six months of rehearsal in order to make this piece ready for performance. It was Kathinkas Gesang the second scene in the Samstag aus Licht, the opera. Samstag in Light, that she was a part of the staged premiere of Samstag at the La Scala at La Scala in Milan during May of 1984 (Beaucage 2005, 20, Yanez 2008). The following season, Stockhausen created a brand new work, featuring electronic music with six channels and flute and Pasveer also performed the premiere in the Salle Ircam at Paris on May 15, 1985 (Daoust 2009b 14). This was the result of an first contact, Stockhausen began to use flutes in her Licht series (Breault 2005 60). She was a collaborator with Stockhausen for 25 years until his death on December 7, 2007. Stockhausen composed a variety of works specifically for her, many of which were premiered by her and many of them have been committed to her. These included parts in the operas Montag aus Licht (La Scala 1988), Dienstag aus Licht (Leipzig Opera 1993), and Freitag aus Licht (Leipzig Opera 1996), as well as the concert premieres of Orchester-Finalisten (Carre, Amsterdam, 1996), Michaelion from Mittwoch aus Licht (Prinzregententheater, Munich, 1998), and Kathinka performed as one of the 4 soloists in the world premiere of Licht-Bilder (third scene of Sonntag aus Licht (Donaueschingen, 16 October 2004). Following Licht, Stockhausen composed for her the flute version of Harmonien (2006 which premiered on thirteen July 2007, at Sulztalhalle located in Kurten) as well as Paradies (2007 which premiered on 23 August 2009, at Laeiszhalle at Hamburg) as well as the components in the ensemble-musical cycle Klang.
