On the 9th of July of the 9th of July, 2008 Beauchamp went on a huge outburst, removing his shoes and attempting to cause the umpire to smell his shoe and his armpit. In November 2019, Beauchamp was hired as the hitting coach for the Winnipeg Goldeyes in the American Association of Independent Professional Baseball.

Beauchamp was hired as the Arizona Diamondbacks’ Independent League Scout in 2017, and retains that role as of November 2019.

He quit playing in 1995. Following that, he started coaching and managing several teams in various independent leagues. From 1995 to 1997 the hit coach was within the Montreal Expos farm system. From 1998 until 2000 he was manager of for the New Jersey Jackals of the Northeast League. He was the manager of his team the Lincoln Saltdogs in 2001 and after that was the Adirondack Lumberjacks for the next three seasons. He was not in charge in 2005 but instead served as the scouting director of the Golden Baseball League. While working for the Golden League he was picked as the hitting coach of Samurai Bears. Samurai Bears. Also, he was a character in the film Season of the Samurai. He was manager of for the Pensacola Pelicans of the American Association in the year 2006. He also worked as Director of Baseball Operations and Vice President of the South Coast League. He also was manager for the South Coast League’s Anderson Joes franchise for the final 37 games of the 2007 season. Beauchamp quit both roles on November 7, 2007 in order to become the manager for the Wichita Wingnuts of the American Association.
