Her record is that of the Bahraini national record holder for the steeplechase and 10,000 metres.
The only international appearance she made next year was the 2009 IAAF World Cross Country Championships and she finished 17th. Her road racing experiences in 2008 included a victory in the Marrakesh Half Marathon, second at the Great Yorkshire Run and a 10K fastest time of 32:43 minutes to finish third at the Singelloop Utrecht. She did not compete in 2009. Her return to major events was in the 2010 Asian Games: Jasim produced an all-time steeplechase world record of 10:05.60 minutes to finish fourth place. She then repeated the finishing in the 5000m with an individual record in 15:20.01 minutes.
Jasim made her name known after winning a 10,000m silver gold medal in the Asian Games and then won the long-distance and long-distance events at the 2007 Asian Athletics Championships. She has won two medals during the Military World Games (5000 m) as well as in the Pan Arab Games (half marathon). Born in Kenya She began her career as a competitor for Bahrain in 2005. Her international debut was in the Arab Athletics Championships, taking the bronze medal in the 5000 meters and then winning both the 10,000 meters and half marathon races. The performance in 34:45.47 minutes to complete the 10,000 metres set an official Bahraini nation record. She then travelled to Europe to start the 2006 season. She was third in the Cross della Vallagarina before taking the crown during the Corrida di San Geminiano road race. The 2005 Asian Indoor Athletics Championships she was fourth in the 3000m but also set a new national record time in 9:28.90 minutes. Her international debut was in the sprint race at the 2006 IAAF World Cross Country Championships in which she finished 28th. As she entered an upcoming track and field season she was at the 2006 Asian Junior Athletics Championships she placed fourth in the 3000 m and the silver medallist in the 5000 meters. She was only thirteenth place in 3000m race at the World Junior Championships in Athletics. A 25th-place finish at the 2011 IAAF World Cross Country Championships helped Bahrain to fourth in the team rankings. She formed a Bahraini 1–2 over 10,000 m behind Shitaye Eshete at the 2011 Asian Athletics Championships She was third behind Kenyan opposition in the 5000 m at the 2011 Military World Games (repeating her finish from 2007) and ended the year with a runner-up finish to compatriot Lishan Dula at the 2011 Pan Arab Games half marathon.
