Kara Eaker (/eI k @r Kara Eaker (/eI k @r/ ) (born 7 November 2002) is an American artist gymnast, and has been an athlete on the United States’ women’s national gymnastics team from 2017. Her most well-known accomplishments are her beautiful, complex and ingenuous routines and combinations on balance beams, and her skill and impressive dancing and tumbling skills in floor exercises. In balance beam, she was an 2017 Pan American and 2019 Pan American Games champion, and twice United States national silver medalist (2018 and 2019). In floor exercises she was an 2019. Pan American Games silver medalist and the 2018 Pan American bronze medalist. She was on the American teams that took gold medals at in the years 2018 and 2019. World Championships, the 2019 Pan American Games, and the 2018 Pan American Championships.

In October Eaker was a participant during The Worlds Team Selection Camp. In the event, she was top on balance beam. She also placed placed sixth in the all-around vault, eighth on the balance beam and nineth in uneven bars and fifth in the floor workout. On the following day, she was chosen to the team that will take part in the 2018 World Championships alongside Simone Biles, Morgan Hurd, Grace McCallum, Riley McCusker, and alternate Ragan Smith. In the preliminary rounds, Eaker placed second in the final of the balance beam, ahead of Biles. Biles was the only other competitor. US also qualified the first place for in the final for teams. The team final was held on the same day, and Eaker competed on the only balance beam. She scored 14.333 which was the best beam mark of the evening from any competitor. This was a part of the total of the team for the USA. The American team took gold with a an average 171.629. 171.629, 8.766 points ahead of second-place Russia. While she was expected to win winning a medal in the final for the balance beam she finished sixth being thrown off her mount.

In September Eaker competed at the US World Championships trials where she placed third in the all-around behind Simone Biles and Sunisa Lee. She also placed third on bars behind Lee and Leanne Wong, first on beam, and third on floor behind Biles and Lee. The following day she was named to the team to compete at the 2019 World Championships in Stuttgart alongside Biles, Lee, MyKayla Skinner, Jade Carey, and Grace McCallum.

At the 2019 U.S. National Championships, Eaker competed all four events on the first day of competition but fell off the balance beam and ended the night in eleventh place. On the second night she performed cleanly and ended up finishing in the tenth place but won silver on the balance beam behind Simone Biles. As a result, she was added to the national team.

Eaker took part in her 2017 U.S. Classic where she was third on the balance beam, and fifth in the all-around. The following year, she competed in the 2017 U.S. National Gymnastics Championships in which she was first on the balance beam ahead competitors Maile O’Keefe as well as Adeline Kenlin. She also placed third on the all-around, fourth on the floor exercise and fifth on bars with uneven surfaces. Then, she was selected on the Junior National Team.

The following day, Eaker was named to the team to compete at the Pan American Championships in Lima, Peru alongside Grace McCallum, Trinity Thomas, Jade Carey, and Shilese Jones. On the first day of competition, Eaker won the gold medal on balance beam and the bronze on floor exercise. In the team competition, Eaker contributed on these two events toward the United States’ gold-medal winning performance.
