Kao Chih-kang (Chinese: Gao Zhi Gang ; pinyin: Gao Zhingang ; Wade-Giles: Kao Chih Kang ; born 7 February 1981 in Taichung County, Taiwan) is a Taiwanese professional baseball player (position: catcher). After a brief stint as an amateur player at the Taiwan Cooperative Bank he was recruited by the Uni- President Lions of the Chinese Professional Baseball League in the early part of 2005, and has remained with this team until the present. Kao is widely recognized as one of one of the most outstanding Taiwanese player of the current generation. He has been a regular member of the Chinese Taipei national baseball team since 2001.
Prior to the 2012 season, Kao signed his second two-year deal for his club, the Uni-President Lions.
