OU / born on May 10 1984) is an American professional baseball player who played in the past. He was a player for his team, the Hiroshima Toyo Carp, and Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles of Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB) and also The Baltimore Orioles and Arizona Diamondbacks of Major League Baseball (MLB).
Mickolio had been dealt by the Mariners together as George Sherrill, Adam Jones, Chris Tillman and Tony Butler to the Baltimore Orioles for Erik Bedard on February 8, 2008. After having spent the initial three months of 2008 season playing for Bowie Baysox, Norfolk Tides and Bowie Baysox and Norfolk Tides, Mickolio was promoted to the Orioles for the first time in order to replace the injured Sherrill on the 20th of August. He made his MLB debut on the same evening in the game at Camden Yards, becoming the first player from Utah Valley to play in an MLB game. Mickolio had to be optioned out to Norfolk however he was recalled with Orioles Orioles eight days after in September 2. The only decision he made in his nine relief appearances during the season was a loss of 8-7 at Toronto Blue Jays Toronto Blue Jays at Rogers Centre on September 17 after he let a one-out Travis Snider sacrifice fly to left field that scored Scott Rolen in the bottom of the eighth inning to break a deadlock that was 7-7.
On May 28, 2010, Mickolio was optioned to Triple-A Reno after Zach Duke was activated from the disabled list. He was released on November 9.
On December 6, 2010 Mickolio and David Hernandez were traded to the Arizona Diamondbacks for third baseman Mark Reynolds.
Mickolio was chosen for the Seattle Mariners in the 18th round of the 2006 MLB Draft, and signed with the team just five days after on June 11. In his bullpen position, he put together seven wins and then moved up through the organization, beginning in the Everett AquaSox in 2006. The following season, he split between Tacoma Rainiers and the West Tenn Diamond Jaxx and Tacoma Rainiers.

Mickolio has graduated from Belgrade High School in 2002 however he did not participate in baseball since Montana did not have a sanction for the sport. Instead , he played for Belgrade’s regional American Legion Baseball team named the Belgrade Bandits, which finished in third place , with an overall record of 32-20 in the state championship. He was 9-2, with the strikeout rate of 115 in the 88 innings he pitched. He had five shutouts and complete games for each of his 11 starts. He also hit .386 and hit six homers.
Mickolio was a student at his time at the College of Eastern Utah for two years. He was the 46th pick by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 2003 MLB Draft, but did not sign any contract. Mickolio finished his college education in Utah Valley State College.
Pitching for the Tides in the first half of 2009, Mickolio was recalled by the Orioles on July 6 after biceps tendinitis forced Chris Ray onto the disabled list. He bounced back and forth between Norfolk and Baltimore twice within the next six weeks, getting his final promotion of the year on August 17 to replace Matt Albers who was sent to the Tides. Mickolio was credited with a pair of losses before inflammation in his throwing shoulder ended his season on September 17.
