Eveson was part of the silver medal winning Australia men’s national wheelchair basketball team at the 2004 Summer Paralympics, and the gold medal winning Australia men’s national wheelchair basketball team at the 2008 Summer Paralympics, for which he received a Medal of the Order of Australia. He was the team’s leading scorer.

Eveson began competing in disabled sports in the year 1995, participating in wheelchair basketball and swimming. At that point the time he made the decision to concentrate on swimming. From 1996 until 1999, it was part of the Wheelchair Sports WA Association Junior Sports Star program as a swimmer. He took part at the 2000 Summer Paralympics, where He won a four-x 100m freestyle relay gold and 4 100 Medley relay medal.
