Juno Mak is one of the most popular and richest World Music Singer who was born on March 18, 1984 in Hong Kong, China. World music and pop artist who’s debut EP in 2002 was the top-selling record on the market in Hong Kong. He was signed through Universal Music Group who paid for him to study under world-renowned choreographer Maruyama Masaharu.
He appeared alongside actress He starred alongside model Sola Aoi in the 2010 feature film Revenge: A Love Story. in the movie Revenge: A Love Story.
Mak began his music career as a commercial pop singer with Universal Music. Two albums, On the Road and Next Step, were released with Universal Music. Both albums reached the top spot on TVB. Although he won awards upon his debut, it was later rumoured that his fans were hired professional groupies earning up to HKD150 an hour, and in 2002 he was booed by audience members during an awards ceremony.
In 2003, Mak, his father, and a number of music executives from TVB and Universal Music HK were arrested as part of an investigation into an alleged bribes-for-awards scam. The case was eventually withdrawn with no charges made.
The son is the telecommunications executive Clement Mak.
