Japanese designer Rei Kawakubo, who founded his brand Comme des Garcons, became Jun’s mentor, and convinced Jun to move to Paris. The Paris retailer Colette liked his clothing so much they requested Takahashi to show his collection from 1998 “Exchange” in their store.

The designer also creates activewear lines for both men and women under the label Nike x Undercover Gyakusou, with the sportswear giant. Additionally, Takahashi has collaborated with Uniqlo to create Uniqlo Undercover, since 2011.
