The final match he wrestled was a tag- team fight on February 26th, 2004, with CIMA, his Crazy MAX coach CIMA who lost against his Aagan Issou team consisting of Shuji Kondo and his “brother” YASSHI. After the defeat, Ogawauchi took the microphone and addressed his CMAX teammates that he was very proud of their team. Don Fujii helped Ogawauchi climb the ring’s corner and take a final photo time. He started to appear on the stage of Toryumon Japan around 2002 along with his classmate Shuji Kondo however, Kondo was evidently considered to be of a superior level than Ogawauchi. This was to be the characteristic of his career throughout his entire career as he was a victim of an unwelcome shadow with his colleagues. He was afflicted with some injuries after his move into Toryumon Japan on a permanent basis. He also stood out on the most recent T2P show when he performed against T2P the king of T2P Toru Owashi.
Ogawauchi got his most significant breakthrough in the year 2003. He was astonished when Crazy MAX was, without doubt, the best stable of Dragon System the history of Dragon System, announced they were in search of an additional member. But, the fans were stunned by the news that Takamichi Iwasa who was adamant to be the 5th member was not granted the position as the position was given to rookie Ogawauchi on the 11th of May 2003. He was changed to JUN. In the wake of a lackluster start in which the wrestler struggled to get his name noticed and a dazzling performance at his 2003 Rey de Parejas lead to an increase in his popularity and changes to his ring design to blend into his new team. The result of these changes was that the ring mate beat Shuji Condo to win his British Commonwealth Jr. Title. He is the only person who has been awarded that title because the title was taken away on the 10th of November 2003, and hasn’t been renewed since. But, tragedy occurred in December, when the player was injured during an encounter against “brother” YASSHI. Rumours circulated that the injury was worsened after an Crazy MAX trip to South Korea. This was a bad thing in light of the fact that CIMA himself had stated that 2004 would be a turning point Year for Crazy MAX.
On October 20, 2009, Ogawauchi made a return to the ring after five years for Secret Base, a promotion started up by various members of El Dorado after it folded at the end of 2008. He teamed with Masa Takanashi against Kinya Oyanagi and Satoshi Kajiwara. Though Ogawauchi was pinned by Oyanagi, it marked the beginning of his return to full-time active wrestling. Ogawauchi continues to wrestle for Secret Base as a member of the promotion’s home army, regularly teaming with Mototsugu Shimizu.
