When he was seven years old, he started taking acting lessons at the academy of Silvia Derbez. Later, he attended his school Gonzalo Correa. At the age of 16 He began professional acting within the Actores del metodo studio (Strasberg method) under the direction by his instructor Rene Pereyra. In the studio, he performed in productions such as After Death and Midnight’s Summer Dream. After a year of these shows his mother passed away. He started to live by himself and act as a model in commercials on television for campaigns for brands like Coca-Cola, Volkswagen and Sabritas.
He started his first TV project to Televisa in the Telenovela Amigas y Rivales, produced by Emilio Larrosa. Bekhor played the character of the brazen and confident Javier over the span of six months. In the meantime the actor wrote an article in the magazine 15 a . 20 using the name Julio Cadena, and worked as DJ in bars as well as for private celebrations.
In 2010, Bekhór returned to Mexico after almost ten years to participate in the Televisa Mujeres Asesinas series. He later starred in the film Dark Seduction (Oscura Seducción). In 2012 he began filming Casi Treinta, an opera prima by Alejandro Suguich.
Julio Bekhór is a multidisciplinary artist who bases his creative exploration on the careful observation and concern of nature. Bekhór starts experimenting as a plastic artist in 2011, combining different techniques and materials such as oil paint, vinyl records and neon lights. And in November 2014 he sets up his first exhibition in Terreno Baldio gallery titled, What Goes Around Comes Around.
He was in 1998 when he started rehearsals for Les maids by Jean Genet directed by Natalia Traven and produced by Reyes Spindola. While at M & M Studio, He studied acting and directing classes with Arturo Ripstein and Pastor Vega.

In 1996 the year 1996, he made his debut on film in the film The Hole by Beto Gomez. He continued his studies after a period of five years at Pereyra and then enrolled in at the faculty of Ludwik Margules as well as M & M Estudio, school of star actress Patricia Reyes-Spindola. The schools taught him how to try out new acting techniques.
He made another pair of telenovelas for Televisa and decided to leave television to focus on film and music. In 2003, he made his American film debut with Broken Lizard’s Club Dread (El club del Miedo) directed by Jay Chandrasekar. In the same year, he was selected to participate in the film Sea of Dreams (Mar de sueños), José Bojorquez’s debut feature.
