Juliet Obanda was born in Vihiga County in the south-western region of Kenya on the 19th of February 1985. She was a student at Alliance Girls High School in Kikuyu, a town in Kikuyu within Kiambu County, in the central region of Kenya in which she earned the High School Diploma, in 2002.
When she returned to Kenya in the year 2015 she was hired by Kabarak University, in Nakuru in Kenya. There, she was the first head of department of pharmacy. She was also one of the key players in the development for the institution’s Bachelor of Pharmacy programme. In October of 2017 she was transferred onto Kenyatta University as a lecturer in its School of Pharmacy.
While she was pursuing her doctorate in Japan between 2010 between 2010 and 2015, she was employed as an assistant to the professor as well as a research assistant within the College of Pharmaceutical Sciences of Ritsumeikan University, at the Biwako-Kusatsu Campus situated in Kusatsu located situated in Shiga Prefecture, Japan.
