Julian Wruck is one of the most popular and richest Athletics Competitor who was born on July 6, 1991 in South Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Wruck was born in Brisbane, Queensland, on 6 July 1991. He was the son of Paul Anthony Wruck, a teacher at a high school as well as Mary Lou Watkins, a teacher at the moment in high school. He was a student at Our Lady of the Rosary Primary school from pre-school to Year 3. He then attended Nudgee Junior College until Year 7. In the year 2004, Wruck began his five years in St Joseph’s College, Gregory Terrace. Always a sports enthusiast, Wruck represented his school in basketball, rugby rowing, athletics, and basketball. He was a member of his school’s Kenmore Little Athletics Club from 7 years old and set numerous junior shotput records. A fractured tibia from basketball games in school at age 15 was the catalyst that led Wruck completely away from team sports and instead into the individual athletic events of the shot put and discus. He was a student at Texas Tech University in Lubbock Texas for two years (mid 2009 to mid-2011). The school he graduated from was UCLA on a scholarship for sports and earned a degree in Philosophy as he trained and threw during the Pac-12 Conference (Pac-12) and NCAA Championships.
In the course of his sophomore year, Wruck won the prestigious NCAA Division 1 Men’s Discus title with throwing 61.81m. In a competition at Geelong in December of 2011, Wruck threw a personal record at 65.78m, 2.3 metres further than his previous PB and also an all-time Queensland record as well as became an Olympic A qualifier. At the time, it was the highest distance that any Australian male discus thrower, on Australian ground.
In Australia, he claimed his first Open Australian Discus Title with a World Championship A Qualifying distance over 66m, gaining an automatic qualification to the World Athletics Championships in Moscow. At the 2013 IAAF World Athletics Championships Wruck finished in 11th position. In 2013, Julian Wruck ranked 4th on the IAAF world list of Men’s Discus Throwers.
Julian Edward Wruck’s personal best to date (January 2015) is 68.16m (223′ 7″) which places him as the Number 2 athlete on the All Time List of Australian discus throwers.
In 2010 Wruck was awarded bronze medals during his participation in the IAAF World Junior Championships in Moncton, Canada. He was then chosen to participate at the Commonwealth Games in Delhi and qualified for the finals, despite being the country’s youngest male Athletics athlete, at the age of 19 and 89 days. He also set record-breaking Australian U20 Record for the Discus.

Julian Edward Wruck (born 6 July 1991) is an Australian discus thrower and Olympic athlete. His personal best as of today is 68.16m which puts him as the second-highest ranked player on the All Time List of Australian discus throwers.
Wruck first saw that he was a great discus thrower around when he was 15, when he took his first title in the Australian National All Schools Track and Field Championships with the throw of 58.40m. In the following year, he was chosen to participate in the Commonwealth Youth Games in Pune India in which he defeated the second-place finisher England by five metres . He also made a record-breaking Australian record and Commonwealth Youth record (1.75 kg) with throwing 60.88m. In 2008, he won the Pacific Schools Games 17 Years Discus by throwing the 1.5 kg discus 60.43m. This was his launch pad to secure the U.S. Collegiate scholarship to Texas Tech where the Chancellor and Senator. Robert Duncan, of the University , commented on his diminutive size.
Returning to Melbourne for the Olympic selection trials in March 2012, Wruck threw 61.54m in difficult conditions to win the competition, defeating reigning champion Benn Harradine (60.51m), and securing his place on the Australian Olympic team to compete in London that year.
