Julian Tepper is one of the most popular and richest Novelist who was born on April 1, 1979 in New York, United States. Julian Tepper (born April 1 1979) is an American musician and writer. Tepper’s novels are Balls (2012), Ark (2016) along with Between the Records (2020). He was the co- founder of his own literary salon, the Oracle Club, a literary salon in New York City that was in operation from 2011 to 2017 as well as part of the indie rock group The Natural History.

Tepper along with musician Jenna Gribbon founded The Oracle Club in 2011as A literary salon that was only open to members. It also served as a studio for writers and artists located in Long Island City, Queens The Oracle Club closed in 2017.

In 2016, Tepper stated that he is working on an autobiographical novel tentatively titled Between the Records, based on his own, as well as his family’s, life in music. An excerpt of Between the Records appeared in the May/June 2018 Issue of Playboy magazine.

Tepper’s second novel, Ark, was published in 2016. Set in Manhattan, it follows three generations of the formerly wealthy, artistic, infighting Arkin family. Some of the characters were based on Tepper’s real-life family members. The New York Times wrote, “Despite some early stumbles, ‘Ark’ is an engaging and entertaining novel, and an insightful take on just how easy it can be to slip from the upper class.”

Tepper was bassist for The Natural History, an indie rock group that was founded within New York in 2001, together with Max Tepper as his twin brother. Max Tepper on lead vocals and guitar. He co-wrote the song “Don’t You Ever”, which was later covered by Spoon as “Don’t You Evah” on their 2007 album Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga and released as a single/EP April 8th in 2008. The original version performed by The Natural History was included on the album’s eight-song EP as well as other remixes to this Spoon rendition performed by Ted Leo, Diplo and Matthew Dear. Spoon added “Don’t You Evah” on Everything Hits at Once: The Most Popular of Spoon, released by Matador Records in July 2019. A piece written in Playboy Magazine from Julian Tepper includes a Q and A of Spoon’s Britt Daniel in which Daniel and the Tepper brothers as well as Daniel discuss the background story of “Don’t You Evah”.
