Juan Carazo is one of the most popular and richest Boxer who was born on October 10, 1964 in Caguas, Puerto Rico. Juan Carazo Serrano (born October 10 1964, in Ponce, Puerto Rico) was an ex-boxer who hails from Caguas, Puerto Rico.
Carazo was scheduled to fight for Telemundo Puerto Rico in 1987 against a foreign opponent on an undercard in which Wilfredo Vazquez was to fight another opponent. The two opponents were in visa issues and, at the very last moment the promoters of the card decided to save the card they would put Carazo who was an Jr. Bantamweight and Vazquez the Bantamweight against one another. Carazo was the first to lose via knockout in the first round.
Carazo then went to Chile in 1992, losing a decision to Chilean fighter Bernardo Mendoza. He and his team stayed in Chile longer to protest the decision, and during their time there, they went to the house of a former South American champion and took monetary help and toys for him and his family.
Carazo decided to retire after that, but in 1996, he tried a comeback in Ponce, Puerto Rico, losing by a knockout in five rounds to an unknown boxer, Angel Castellar, who was 2-5-2 coming into the fight.
At the end of 1985, Carazo began to run for office in Curacao in which he was able to win several fights, one of which was against Jesus Bastardo. He then had a second battle with a different opponent in Puerto Rico, this time at the Mario Morales Coliseum, and the fight was broadcast over the Caribbean. In the fight, his opponent, Tom Elston, wore long pants, and he spit towards the camera, and attempted to bite Carazo. Carazo however won the match with an eviction in just six.

Carazo came back to beat former Flyweight world champion Santos Laciar by a decision in 12 at Caguas in 1988, and was given a chance to challenge the late Gilberto Roman for the WBC world’s Jr. Bantamweight title in 1989, in the Los Angeles suburb of Inglewood, California. He was dropped in round four, but seconds after getting off, he dropped Roman near the ring’s ropes. He was one second away from becoming a world champion, but Roman recovered, got up at the count of nine and proceeded to win by a unanimous 12-round decision.
