Juan Roberto Agosto Gonzalez (born 23 February 1958) is an Puerto Rican former relief pitcher who was a part of the Chicago White Sox, Minnesota Twins, Houston Astros, St. Louis Cardinals and the Seattle Mariners of the Major League Baseball (MLB). In his 13 years, Agosto scored 40 victories 33 losses and an 4.01 earned run rate (ERA).

Juan Agosto was originally signed by the Boston Red Sox as an amateur free agent in 1974, and let go in the year 1978. On the 18th of January, 1980 Agosto was signed by the Chicago White Sox. The team made his debut with the White Sox on September 7 1981, losing at Seattle Mariners. Seattle Mariners. Agosto was in the game at the the 2nd innings, replacing Richard Dotson after Dotson gave five runs during the second inning. He was a member of the White Sox when they won the 1983 American League West, and briefly pitched for them during the ALCS.
Agosto signed with The Houston Astros for the 1987 season. As of 1988, Agosto lead the Major Leagues in winning with a ten-game streak, the longest streak in Astros historical records at the time. Agosto was the top pitcher in with the National League in appearances with an 82-game streak in the year 1990. Through his 4 seasons playing for the Astros, Agosto pitched in 261 games.

The White Sox avoided arbitration with him that preseason by signing him to a one-year extension. Agosto was traded to the Minnesota Twins for Pete Filson in June 1986 and assigned to Minnesota’s minor league affiliate in Toledo.
