Joshua Blake Satin (born December 23rd 1984) is an American former professional baseball corner infielder. Satin played at first base and second base as well as third base. Through his career playing for his team, the New York Mets of Major League Baseball and also as his former Cincinnati Reds and San Diego Padres teams.

He was a part of the Cape Cod League in both the year 2006 (for the Orleans Cardinals) and 2007 (for the Bourne Braves), and was selected as an All-Star each time. He was awarded to be the Eastern Division MVP during the All-Star Game.

In 2008, his final year, he batted .379/.500/.723, with 18 home runs in 195 at-bats. He also set the school hitting streak record, with 27. That year he was a Baseball America first team All-American (joining among others future Mets teammate Ike Davis). He was also a Rivals.com second team All American, Collegiate Baseball Louisville Slugger third-team All-American, and first-team All-Pac-10. He is 5th all-time for the school in career hits (246) and total bases (381), 6th in RBIs (153), 8th in career walks (119), 9th in career home runs (29; tied with Jerry Goff), and 3rd for the school in season-best slugging percentage (.723; 2008) and home runs (18; 2008). He graduated with a degree in political science.

He was a first-team college All-American at the University of California, Berkeley. The Mets drafted him in the 6th round of the 2008 Major League Baseball draft. Satin batted .303 in 2008 in the minor leagues, and .288 in 2009 while being voted a South Atlantic League All-Star. He hit .311 and was a Florida State League All-Star in 2010. In 2011, he batted .325 for Binghamton while leading the league in on-base percentage (.423) and OPS (.962), as he was voted an Eastern League All-Star. He also played in AAA, batting .347 with a .410 on-base percentage with the Buffalo Bisons.

Satin was a student at in the University of California, Berkeley. In his first year of college in 2005, the second base position he played in the California Golden Bears baseball team. He hit .348 (7th on the Pac-10) with an impressive 77 hitting (8th for the Pac-10) and was the top player on by playing 26 multi- hit games. He was named the team’s 2005 Freshman of The Year, and was also awarded the Clint Evans Award as the team’s top athlete (along with his college teammate from high school who accompanied the team while on the team at Berkeley, Brennan Boesch). In 2007 as a junior, the bat he used was .287.

In grade school, the school he attended was Abraham Joshua Heschel Day School. At high school, he played with the Harvard Westlake School Warriors in North Hollywood, California, Satin was a three-time All-league selection and was named the winner in the 2002 Los Angeles Daily News Tournament. He was a star in 2002 when he was a shortstop and hit .500 which included 11 hits. As as a senior, he hit .478 and hit 10 homers. Satin was drafted by the Mets in the 6th round of the 2008 Major League Baseball draft. He signed for $25,000. After signing, he batted a combined .303/.370/.503 for the Kingsport Mets in the Rookie Appalachian League and the Brooklyn Cyclones in the A- New York–Penn League in 2008.
