Joshua Matthew Rupe (born August 18th in 1982) is an American former professional baseball relief pitcher. He was a player in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Texas Rangers, Kansas City Royals and Baltimore Orioles.
Rupe did not be named to the major league roster for the start of the 2007 season and was subsequently optioned out by the RedHawks. After 2008, Rupe made the major roster of the league and played for 46 times. He was awarded freedom of choice on the 9th of November in 2009.
He signed a minor league contract with the Baltimore Orioles in November 2010. He was later added to the 40-man roster before being designated for assignment on May 10, 2011.
The 25th of November, 2009 Rupe signed an minor league contract with the Kansas City Royals. He was included on the Royals team’s 25-man roster, however on May 12, 2010, Rupe was designated for assignment.

Awarded by the Chicago White Sox in the 3rd round of 2002’s Major League Baseball Draft out of Louisburg College, Rupe was purchased from the Texas Rangers along with Frank Francisco and minor leaguer Anthony Webster to complete an earlier deal for Carl Everett in July 2003.
In the 2006 season, Rupe was placed on the disabled list for 60 days due to an inflammation of his left elbow. After his return the player worked at the Triple A Oklahoma RedHawks. He was sent back for the Rangers on July 28, 2006 and was able to finish the season from the bullpen as a middle relief position.
On August 5, 2011 Josh Rupe was released by the Baltimore Orioles. He last played for the Somerset Patriots of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball.
