Josh Abercrombie is one of the most popular and richest Amateur Wrestler who was born on April 13, 1984 in New Haven, Connecticut, United States. Joshua Raymond (born April 13 1984) is an American professional wrestler who is known as the nickname Josh Abercrombie. The most famous of his achievements are his stints with the Independent Wrestling Alliance Mid-South Juggalo Championship Wrestling Ring of Honor and the brief- lived Wrestling Society X.
Josh later challenged Tyler to a final match and put the title at stake and a condition that the loser would not be allowed to participate in the tournament to stay for the duration of six months. Black agreed to the challenge and the fight took place on the 30th of September and effectively dragged Josh from the Ted Petty Invitational. The fight was halted when IWA Mid-South staff member Jim Fannin removed the referee from the ring, while Black was pinballed. It was a huge surprise when Jimmy Jacobs (who had left the show on the 20th of January in the 20th of January,) entered the crowd to help Abercrombie win. This, along with the clause in the contract which allowed Jacobs to retain his moustache was part of the deal in which Abercrombie and Fannin collaborated on that in the same moment gave Fannin the opportunity to gain access to Jacobs. Fannin’s hired gun, Mitch Page and Bull Pain took on Jacobs whom Fannin was furious about throwing his IWA World Heavyweight Championship in the garbage in late 2005. Abercrombie was a bit sour about the double-crossing of his trainer and friend and trainer, but did what he was necessary to do to remain on top.
On March 17, 2007, Abercrombie was part of the debut event for Fight Sports Midwest, a promotion run out of Portage, Indiana. He pinned Austin Aries in a singles bout, and later interfered in a match between Arik Cannon and former rival Tyler Black, where he helped Cannon attack the Black. Abercrombie and Cannon were then challenged to an impromptu tag match by Black and S.A.M. (Super Amazing Monkey), a man in a gorilla outfit. Abercrombie and Cannon won, and after the match, they unmasked S.A.M. and revealed him to be Jimmy Jacobs before viciously attacking Jacobs’ leg.
In late 2009, Raymond began wrestling at Ring of Honor Wrestling tapings under his real name, along with Christian Abel and Truth Martini as part of The House of Truth. He hasn’t appeared for the promotion since August 2010.
In January and February of 2005, he started an argument with Ian Rotten, which included an event that Rotten took home as part of an event called the NWA Indiana State Championship tournament. The feud ended in the barbed wire rope game the following day. Abercrombie fearing to be injured, entered the match wrapped in bubble wrap which was taken off by Rotten after a short time of the game. In the course of the contest, Rotten broke his hand when he punched Abercrombie on the head. Abercrombie utilized the situation to his advantage and was able to prevail by submission.
