The first two roles he has played in a feature film include The Newest Pledge and MILF. He was a student at Royal Holloway, University of London along with actor Tom Weston-Jones.

In 2013, Booton completed his apprentice in the craft of the classic English puppet show known as Punch & Judy. Booton wrote an undergraduate thesis about the traditional art of puppetry known as Punch & Judy and through his research , he was a part of one of the few still working Punch & Judy street showman in England. Following his training, Booton continued to perform the traditional English art form known as Punch & Judy internationally. As the performer of Punch & Judy, Booton is one of the few practitioners of the traditional art form, and is an active member of one of the oldest organizations of its type.

In 2009, Booton relocated into Los Angeles to complete a certificate course for Acting to Film. In addition, Booton was able to develop his improv skills at ACME Comedy Theatre, making appearances on their regular Theatre Sports shows.

At the age 11, Booton attended St. Bede’s School and was a part of a number of the school’s productions, for instance, he played the character Mr. Toad as part of Alan Bennett’s stage version of Kenneth Graeme’s novel The Wind in the Willows. In this production, Booton donned the same costume as the actor Griff Rhys Jones from the National Theatre’s production with the same title. While at school, Booton and a classmate composed, directed and performed in their own comedy show. After leaving college Booton went on to study Drama & Theatre Studies at Royal Holloway, University of London where he was a part of the numerous productions that took place there, including playing Cheswick in Dale Wasserman’s stage adaptation of Ken Kasey’s One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest and Mosca in Ben Jonson’s Volpone; an open-air production in the 19th Century Founder’s Building.
