In the year 2006, Jordan Galland began working on a set of songs by himself with his fellow bandmates and friends David Muller (formerly of the Fiery Furnaces) and Sam Oates for what would later be his debut solo album, “Airbrush.” The album was released in 2008 and Galland as well as Muller continued to work on their solo-recordings and also co-produced Jordan Galland’s second solo album, “Search Party.” This album was produced at Hampton Bays, New York as well as mixed with Ron Shaffer at Atlantic West Studios in Brooklyn.

A later band, Domino, is signed to Mark Ronson’s Allido Records label. Additionally, Galland has collaborated with his childhood friend, Sean Lennon, played electric piano on Mark Ronson’s album Version and co-wrote tracks on Daniel Merriweather’s 2010 Love & War, also released on Allido Records.

The music video for the EP’s title track appeared on Glamour.com and AOL’s music website, Spinner.com as the Music Video of the Day on May 31, 2011.

Galland’s short film from 2005, Smile for the Camera won an award for screencraft excellence during the New York Independent International Film and Video Festival in 2005. Galland directed, filmed as well as edited the movie by himself and also composed the film’s theme tune as well as the musical score, along with Sean Lennon and Timo Ellis. A music video that was animated for his group Domino, Green Umbrella, was shown at various film festivals across the U.S., and in Madrid at Alcine37.
