The billboards were funded entirely by Dan Le Batard even though Stugotz promised for a week to contribute. Stugotz’s name appeared on the billboards because of these promises. Le Batard was suspended for two days by ESPN when he told an ESPN executive he planned to fly planes over James’ homecoming celebration with banners that matched the billboards.
