Jon Hare is one of the most popular and richest Musician who was born on January 20, 1966 in Ilford, England, United Kingdom. Jon “Jops” Hare (born 20 January 1966 in Ilford, Essex, England) is an English computer game designer, game artist, and musician. Hare is one of the two founding members and directors, along with Chris Yates, of Sensible Software which was one of the top European companies for game development in the 1990s and the late 1980s.
Hare has been a vote-taking part of BAFTA in all forms since the year 2004 and has been working frequently for BAFTA as an adjudicator and mentor.
In July 2009, Hare joined Jagex (makers of browser-based MMORPG RuneScape and casual gaming website FunOrb) as their Head of Publishing.
In January 2010, Hare announced the launch of a new independent online games publisher, Me-Stars, a games network for browser and iPhone platforms. All Me- Stars games were to feature in game Me-Stars to pick up, win and redeem and interactive high scores and friends lists that appear inside each game during gameplay, depicted by the animated photo-realistic heads found in Me-Motes Messenger (released January 2010). However the Me-Stars games network was never launched and instead became a relaunch of Tower Studios as a publisher on many mobile and online downloadable platforms of classic licensed games from the 80s – 90s as well as new designs from Jon and other game developers. Tower’s most successful title as a publisher to date has been ‘Speedball 2 Evolution’ a remake of The Bitmap Brothers classic game which topped the iPad and Mac charts across Europe in 2011 and was followed up with ‘Speedball 2 HD’ in 2013 on PC. In 2014 Hare also announced the imminent release of ‘Word Explorer’ his first original game in 20 years, developed in collaboration with award winning Polish development team Vivid Games and published through a number of different publishing partners including Mastertronic and Big Fish.
Since the acquisition the company Sensible Software to Codemasters in 1999, Hare has worked in the role of consultant designer for a variety of games, including numerous strategies, action and sports games like Real World Golf and Sensible Soccer 2006. Hare is also one of the founding members and owners of the game business Tower Studios, founded in 2004 along with two former Bitmap Brothers. Bitmap Brothers it has developed numerous successful games including mobile games like Cannon Fodder and Sensible Soccer.

Hare is also an incredibly prolific songwriter since the year 1982. He has appeared in a variety of bands as a musician and singer and has played in the Essex ensembles Hamsterfish, Dark Globe and Touchstone All of them included Chris Yates on lead guitar. Dark Globe was particularly important in the development of the connection with Hare as well as Yates in the years prior to the creation the band Sensible Software and rehearsed in the home of Richard Ashrowan, who was one of Hare’s close friends from the time of his childhood. From 1990, Hare was also a frequent collaborator on music along with Richard Joseph, another close friend , with whom he wrote and orchestrated the majority of Sensible Software’s most well popular music tracks, including music for Cannon Fodder the GBA version that was also nominated for an BAFTA in 2000. It is the only small-format track to be recognized by BAFTA up to the present. In 1995, Hare and Joseph collaborated on a huge 32-track soundtrack for the multimedia game Sex ‘n’ Drugs Rock ‘n’ Roll that was released by Warner Interactive However, in 1998, Warner pulled out of the gaming market, and the Magnum Opus was only ever made available as an audio CD with a limited edition. Since 2000, Hare has also composed and performed for several groups such as Little Big Band. Little Big Band featuring Jack Monck and Sid 80s featuring Ben Daglish.
Hare was the chief designer as well as the creative director and the primary lead artist and musical composer for Sensible Soccer, the Sensible Soccer series, the Cannon Fodder series and Mega Lo Mania which were among the most well-known software franchises from the mid-1990s. Prior to that, Hare was co- designer and lead artist on the entire Sensible series, which included Parallax, Wizball, Microprose Soccer, SEUCK and Wizkid.
In 2006, Hare contributed a weekly politics feature to UK video game radio show One Life Left.
