He is a world-class three-weight champion who has held his WBO bantamweight title since the beginning of November 2019, and prior to that was it was the IBF junior-flyweight title in 2012 until 2013, and also in the IBF Flyweight title from 2012 to the year 2016 in addition to being the WBO intermediate junior flyweight title between 2009 to 2010 and also the WBO interim title for bantamweight for 2019. On the 23rd of August of 2008, a year after making his professional debut, Casimero defeated Rodel Quilaton to claim the empty Philippines Boxing Federeration (PBF) Flyweight title. He won an unanimous decision (UD) over 10 rounds. After the fight, Casimero moved down one division, from light flyweight. He defeated Liempetch Sor Veerapol from Thailand via technically knockout (TKO) in the fifth round, to win the unclaimed WBO Asia Pacific Light Flyweight title. Casimero did well in defending the title two rounds later, against Ardin Diale, before he received the most significant break that he had ever experienced.
On the 19th of December 2009 at Managua, Nicaragua, Casimero took home the vacant temporary WBO lightweight title after defeating the an WBO interim WBA light Flyweight Champion Cesar Canchila from Colombia. Canchila had an overall record of 28-2 going to the fight, with his most recent loss coming from the current WBA Light Flyweight World Champion Giovanni Segura, whom he earlier defeated to win an interim title. Casimero delivered a stunning performance and the fight was his first fight outside of his country of birth. He was able to take down Canchila several times before the referee was finally able to stop the fight after the eleventh minute of 12-round interim title bout.
On his first defense of the IBF junior flyweight title, Casimero faced Pedro Guevarra of Mexico on August 4, 2012. He scored a knockdown in the opening round and fought to a split decision victory.
