John James Morton Jr. (born on October 7, 1971) is an ex- American football receiver who played in the National Football League (NFL) in the 1990s and the 2000s. He played for the college team of at the University of Southern California (USC) and was voted by the league as an All-American in 1993. The team that drafted him was the Detroit Lions in the first round of the 1994 NFL Draft He was also a professional player for the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers of the NFL. In the season of 2001 during the 2001 season, comedy legend Jay Leno had been poking at the Lions who had a record of 0-12. After the Lions triumphed in their opening contest of the season, 27-24 over Minnesota Vikings, Minnesota Vikings, Morton, who had heard about Leno’s comments and reacted, “I got the damn monkey off my back, off Marty’s back, and I want Jay Leno to kiss my ass.” Morton was later as a guest on The Tonight Show, during the show, during which Leno kissed the donkey.

While at at the University of Southern California, Morton was a member of his team the USC Trojans football team from 1990 until 1993. Morton broke 12 USC team records and Pacific-10 Conference records for receptions as well as receiving yards.
