John Keister is one of the most popular and richest Comedian who was born on February 15, 1956 in Seattle, Washington, United States. John Keister (born February 15 1955) is a comedian from Seattle writer, journalist, commentator and motivational trainer, well known for being the presenter of the comedy show Almost Live! from 1988 until 1999.
Keister was a scriptwriter for the 2005 series on public television The Eyes of Nye, which starred the fellow Almost Live! alumnus Bill Nye.
On April 30, 2009, Keister appeared on The Brandon Ivey Show at the Historic University Theater in the U-District. He refuted rumors regarding his death.
In January 2013, Keister returned to KING-TV with a new comedy show called The 206, along with former Almost Live! costar Pat Cashman and his son Chris.
The year 2000 saw Keister developed a sketch-based show for the rival station KIRO-TV The show was titled The John Report with Bob. The format was similar that of the segment on news reports that he had produced in Almost Live!, with additional sketches by Bob Nelson and local comedy troupes. The new show was pulled after one year.

A resident of Seattle and was raised living in Seattle’s Seward Park neighborhood and graduated from Franklin High School in 1974. He was editor of The Daily as a student at the University of Washington, graduating with a degree in communication in 1979.
His work was written his own script for The Rocket and initially joined KING- TV as a music critic on a show known as REV at the time of 1984. Soon after, he joined the crew of the local comedy program of KING Almost Live! alongside his close pal Pat Cashman. Following the departure of the show’s original anchor Ross Shafer, Keister became the host of the show and its structure was revamped to focus on sketchy openings, monologues and news parodies. Keister won Twelve regional Emmy Awards for his work on the show. Almost Live! was cancelled in 1999 by KING during 1999.
Also in 2009, Keister was the narrator for Sonicsgate, a documentary about the controversial relocation of the Seattle SuperSonics to Oklahoma City.
