John Craig Freeman is one of the most popular and richest Artist who was born on February 16, 1959 in Los Angeles, California, United States. Orators, Rostrums, and Propaganda Stands is inspired by works by Gustav Klutsis, including his designs for Screen-radio Orators, Rostrums, and Propaganda Stands in 1922. Each of the four virtual orators showcases an animation in black and white from a current mass uprising: Tank Man near Tiananmen Square in Beijing in 1989; the assassination in 1989 of Neda Agha- Soltan in 2009, who was killed on the streets in Tehran at the time of 2009’s Iranian elections as well as images taken from Tahrir Square in Cairo during the 2011 Arab Spring; and the 2011 Occupy Wall Street uprising. Each of these pictures is paired, as a the form of a montage, and frames taken from The Odessa Steps scene of Sergei Eisenstein’s classic Battleship Potemkin film. When they are touched, the virtual objects emit sound effects from the revolution. The stands evoke the revitalisation and the nostalgia of our current ideas of political zeal as they redefine the plaza of the museum in the role of a public square.
