The artworks were shown before the general public first at the Berlin House of Representatives in 2008 and later at the German Embassy in London.

From 1973 until 1977, he was a Graphics and Painting student in the Hochschule fur Grafik und Buchkunst Leipzig and from 1978 until 1980, he was a Masterstudent under the professor Gerhard Kettner at the Hochschule fur Bildende Kunste Dresden (HfBK) which was his head of the school from 1989 until 1991. After resigning from the long-term teaching position at the school, he relocated to Dresden until Berlin. In Berlin, he was invited for various residencies within International Universities and worked as an instructor at Dortmund University (2003-2004).
