Joe Romersa is one of the most popular and richest Audio Engineer who was born on July 27, 1956 in California, United States. Romersa began touring as the drummer of The Marc Tanner Band. On April 19th 1979, the band would play for Firefall in The Palace Theater in Cleveland Ohio. They also opened for Firefall at the Palace Theater in Cleveland Ohio. Marc Tanner Band also opened for Jefferson Starship. Romersa was a drummer, percussionist and the composer on Tanner’s sophomore album Temptations together with guitarist Ritchie Zito and bassist Ron Edwards.
Joe’s voice artist would soon have him working in the field of anime. From 1994 on, Joe was able to start engineering, performing voice overs and ADR managing for Anime as well as Game projects. This eventually led to his involvement in Silent Hill. in 2002 Yutaka Maseba as well as Haruyo Kanesaku of ZRO Limit Production introduced Joe as well as Akira Yamaoka. The two musicians gathered and jammed in Joe’s recording studio. Joe playing his drums, and Akira playing the loaned Strat along with Line 6 amp. Romersa released his first album as a solo artist in 2017 titled Enough. Written and composed by Romersa, Enough includes tracks by fellow musicians including Laurence Juber (“Love, and You”), Prescott Niles (“Enough,” “Humans Doing Angels Work,” “Soldier of Love”), and Jeff Jourard (“Give Our Money Back”).
Romersa was an engineer and drummer on John Prine’s Grammy award-winning debut album The Missing Years. He would later collaborate alongside Carlene Carter for her 1993 album of country music Little Love Letters as the drummer, percussionist, engineer , and the backup vocalist together with the Bassist Howie Epstein, and the pianist Benmont Tench. Little Love Letters would rise to 35th place in the Top Country Albums chart and included the number three hit Every Little Thing and two top 100 hits: I Love You Because I Want to (#50) and the song Unbreakable Heart (#51). The beautiful daughter of Romersa, Reyna, would make her own video “debut” in I Love You Because I Want to.

In the latter half of the 1980s, a slim, old man with a swish of white hair would stroll into the recording studio with no appointment. The man is Eden Ahbez, known as ahbe to his acquaintances. This fateful day was the beginning of an eight-year relationship with the man who composed Nature Boy. Romersa and ahbe were close until the tragic death of ahbe in the year 1995.
In Studio, an unplanned encounter with the keyboardist and songwriter Vincent Nicoletti, would result in the formation of the band Soy Cowboy with its unique “Thai Western” sound. Romersa was recruited as an engineer and drummer however his talents as a vocalist lead was soon recognized as the group was gathered. When their first album were picked up by the famous Los Angeles radio personality, Tom Schnabel of KCRW-FM (89.9) The group was noticed by artist Tarsem Singh. In the year 1990, Singh would produce the Soy Cowboy’s sole music video to promote their hit song Lily Pads and Rock Cod. Soy Cowboy’s debut album First Time Again was produced in 1991, but did not release to the general public. The album would be released in 2009, through Shadow Box Studio. The second album, 2012, was released and produced in 2012. According to Tom Schnabel “The band got moderate airplay on U.S. radio, but in England briefly jumped to the top of the charts.”
One of Romersa’s projects as a producer was the production of Alana Sweetwater’s 2004 release of Alana Sweetwater. Her single from that album, Song of Love, was featured on the original Showtime series, Season 3, Episode 6, of The Real L World. Romersa was also a musician on the album and sound engineer.
