Lorenzana (born on February 14,) is professionally known as JoAnne Lorenzana is an Filipina performer and recording artist singer, songwriter and model who was renowned as a vocalist in Original Pilipino Music in the late 1980s and into the early 1990s. She is a graduate from the University of the Philippines.

In 2009, she also sang along with her American-born cousin Craig Abaya, on “When Change Comes” from his album of alternative rock The Fine Art of Politics.

A new album is in the works. The first single from the EP, “New Year’s Day”, was released in December 2016 and made available on CD Baby and the iTunes Store.

Five years following The Manila publication of Between Seasons, Lorenzana began exploring the San Francisco Bay Area music scene. This led to a concert on the California Jazz Conservatory, better known as the JAZZSCHOOL. The initial Bay Area one-woman show since 2002 (when she performed an individual concert in the ballroom at The Clarion Hotel) was billed as “ORIGINS: JoAnne Lorenzana”. The concert highlighted her jazz heritage and music influences throughout her early days before entering the entertainment industry.

Lorenzana was discovered by Filipino composer-singer-manager Nonong ‘Dero’ Pedero in 1984, who soon took the young singer under his management, employing her talent for commercial jingles. Prior to Lorenzana’s official foray in Philippine music, she was a part of the local Philippine showbiz, she performed as a frontman in international shows performed locally, such as Gloria Estefan and the Miami Sound Machine, Menudo (the former group of Ricky Martin) and the British jazz group Shakatak. In the following year, she introduced in a concert that was billed as JoAnne The debut. For almost all of 2010, Lorenzana was in Manila to promote her new album. She toured most of the northern part of the country promoting the singles “Beautiful” and “Technicolor”, written by Andrei Dionisio. The tour was capped by a retrospective concert at the Dusit Thani Hotel Manila.
