Creus was a member of in the Spain national team to participate in at the EuroBasket 1983, in which they won the silver medal and in 1986, the FIBA World Championship.
In 1993, following the demise of Granollers, Creus signed with TDK Manresa. The club was led by him to win two championships of its history in 1996: the Copa del Rey and the Liga ACB in the 1997-98 that is thought to be among the greatest achievements throughout the history of Spanish basketball. Creus was awarded MVP in both of the competitions.
He left the national team 2008, for becoming the general manager of the basketball team of FC Barcelona. Eight years later, in June 2016, Creus resigned.
