The year 2008 was the first time Harmon attempted to join The New Zealand national team after discovering she was eligible due to the fact that the mother of her father was from New Zealand. Harmon and her former Stanford colleague Clare Bodensteiner were both named to the team just prior to the Olympics. Harmon made her debut international with in the Tall Ferns at the 2008 Olympics.
After her time at the university, Harmon first signed with Pool Comense for the 2009-10 season of Italy’s Serie A1. After 2012, Harmon made the decision to join Lavezzini Parma. After a few months overseas in Australia as well as New Zealand, Harmon returned to Italy after signing with Le Mura Lucca. The year 2017 was the year that Harmon was the winner of her debut title with Lucca.
In 2016, Harmon would once again join the Tall Ferns and compete in the Olympic Qualifying Tournament, with this edition in France. However, they failed to qualify again.
