She was a student at the school in Beijing which was where she was hired to join JYP Entertainment in 2007. She went on to attend Seoul Institute of the Arts.

Jia’s last album with Miss A was Colors, released on March 30, 2015. She left Miss A and JYP Entertainment in May 2016 after deciding not to renew her contract with the company.
In 2011 Jia was featured as a model in the music video of M&D’s first track “Close Ur Mouth”, as well as made numerous appearances on the soundtracks of Dream High and Dream High 2.

Juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) is a form of arthritis in children. Arthritis causes joint swelling (inflammation) and joint stiffness. JIA is arthritis that affects one or more joints for at least 6 weeks in a child age 16 or younger.
Does JIA go away?
JIA is a chronic condition, meaning it can last for months and years. Sometimes the symptoms just go away with treatment, which is known as remission. Remission may last for months, years, or a person’s lifetime. In fact, many teens with JIA eventually enter full remission with little or no permanent joint damage.
How does JIA happen?
Juvenile idiopathic arthritis occurs when the body’s immune system attacks its own cells and tissues. It’s not known why this happens, but both heredity and environment seem to play a role.
When is JIA diagnosed?
In order to diagnose JIA, arthritis must be present for at least six weeks in a row in the same joint. Some children with systemic JIA may start out with high fever, rash, lymph node enlargement and other features but without joint involvement.

Rarely, kids with JIA can get a life-threatening problem called macrophage activation syndrome. It happens when the immune system becomes too active and damages some of the body’s organs. It can lead to severe diarrhea, bleeding, hearing loss, confusion, and seizures.
